He was an old man who was martyred in Kerbala in the first attack. He was a brave, pious man and a recieter of Holy Quran and belonged to Koofa. When Imam Hussain (A.S) reached Kerbala, he also reached there. His name also appears in 'Ziarat-e-Nahya-e-Muqaddisa'.
